What is finance ?
Finance is the most encompassing of all business enterprises. To understand finance you must know about the entire business, indeed the entire economy. So for a few minutes lets step back and pretend that we never took economics and are new to this earth. The Financial system is composed of consumers, manufacturers, distributors. These groups need money to purchase products and services. One way of looking at Finance is that it is getting the money to purchase these goods and services. Financial Markets and Institutions, which focuses on an understanding of the markets in which finance professionals and investors operate.

Financial Planning, which involves evaluating financial goals and developing comprehensive financial plans for individuals in a highly complex and regulated environment. With changes in the demographic characteristics of the US population, and shifts in employment and retirement preparation trends, more and more people find themselves in a position of need to apply sophisticated financial planning techniques to their personal economic affairs, such as college savings plans, retirement plans, estate planning, insurance needs assessment etc.This involves the study of the level and structure of interest rates and various types of financial instruments, different financial institutions and their regulatory environment, the structure and regulation of financial markets etc.

The word hotel derives from the French hôtel, which referred to a French version of a townhouse or any other building seeing frequent visitors, not a place offering accommodation (in contemporary usage, hôtel has the meaning of "hotel", and hôtel particulier is used for the old meaning). The French spelling (with the circumflex) was once also used in English, but is now rare. The circumflex replaces the 's' once preceding the 't' in the earlier hostel spelling, which over time received a new, but closely related meaning.
